Mountain bike films are typically full of brainless theatrics but fall slightly short in terms of deep meaning. Billy Savage and the crew from KLUNKERZ hope to change all that.
The World Premiere of mountain bike’s own feature-length documentary, KLUNKERZ, is set to be held at the Mill Valley Film Festival in October. It is the first film of its kind, with interviews from all of the original legendary mountain bike pioneers and even some of the more obscure characters who influenced them.
Further information about the film can be found at www.klunkerz.com. The festival itself is the largest fall film festival in California.
Best of all is the party following the film’s debut with members of the press, as well as the cast and crew. Not unlike the Red Carpet affairs of Hollywood itself, the post-film party is shaping up to be a who's who of the mountain bike world. Some of the lesser-known characters like the MTB hall of famers the Morrow Dirt Club (Cupertino Riders) will be on hand, as well as the usual suspects from Marin County.
Thanks for your time and I hope to see you at the screening:
October 8th at 6:30 pm at the Sequoia Theater in Mill Valley, CA.
Ride on,
Billy Savage
